  Bob attended Hartland and Victoria Corner schools. Charlene attended school in Woodstock (Broadway and Woodstock High). In April of 1991 Bobby was the recipient of a 25-year service award from the McCain Group. He was the field department parts man in Hartland. Bob retired from McCain Foods in 1999. He was employed for 35 years. 2020 update – Both Bob and Charlene have passed away, Charlene in 2014 and Bob in 2017. Their youngest daughter, Nancy Adler, shared a couple of special memories – “At Mum & Dad’s home the grandchildren would always be found on "the swing ". Large maple trees lined the road by their property. In one of these trees " Dad , Grampy Bobby ", had made a swing . There are many pictures of the grandchildren on this swing. Mum loved her flowers. Lilacs and roses were in front of the porch on the lawn. Beautiful each year. There were pictures galore of these.” [3]
